Commonwood Fishery is a coarse fishery set in 60 acres of beautiful Welsh countryside near to Wrexham in NE Wales, The complex provides a variety of waters catering for all types of angler and all skill levels. The complex also hosts a lodge which provides both a café area and bait / tackle sales.  There are match and pleasure lakes plus two carp “runs” waters and a pure specimen carp lake. the runs waters are proving to be very popular with good size carp regularly coming out to over 20lb. The specimen lake is stocked with a high head of carp over 20lb & 30lb with a current lake record of 39lb. Day tickets are available for most lakes from the lodge with the exception of Snowdon ( syndicate only ) & Llewellyn ( syndicate & Associate plus only ) carp lakes which must be prebooked.


Weston is the first of our fantastic carp “runs” waters, it has good size carp with some hitting the magic 20lb mark and an average of 15lb. This water fishes very well year round which has made a very popular lake. This water has a mixture of bivvy and standard sized swims. Booking is not required for day fishing ( 7am – 7pm or dusk ) just purchase a ticket at the lodge before starting fishing, However Weston can be busy and pre booking is recommended during busy periods. . Weston can also be fished at night ( 7pm – 7pm ticket ) Pre booking is required at all times and no night tickets are sold at the lodge. Non members must book in advance via the fishery telephone number, Syndicate, Associate plus & Associate members can pre book pegs on this water via the members booking system.
